Hurry! The 2013 season of farm dinners by Outstanding in the Field are quickly selling out and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to have dinner among fellow foodies, local purveyors and artisans in a beautiful farm setting. Pictured above is a dinner I attended on a farm outside Madison, Wisconsin. After a few cocktails and tour of the farm, locally sourced ingredients prepared by a local celebrated chef were served to hungry diners, including me, seated at the signature long table snaking through a field.
This is the basic formula for these farm dinners but as you can imagine each one is highly unique and extremely delicious. From California clear through to the East Coast and back again, the Outstanding in the Field team rides their vintage bus from stop to stop bringing their hospitality and expertise to diners everywhere. It’s the ultimate farm to table experience. One that doesn’t come cheap but go ahead, splurge. You won’t regret it. The food will be great. The wine even better. And the evening one to remember for a long time to come.
