Today, the mobile is a common art form. But it all started with Alexander Calder and his revolutionary kinetic sculptures back in the mid 20th century. In fact, the very name “mobile” was coined by friend and colleague Marcel Duchamp after a visit to Calder’s studio. Don’t miss this exciting display of Calder’s key works on view now through late June, 2014 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Tickets are timed so book ahead.
